Congratulations to the boys varsity golfers finishing their season strong at a tough Ottumwa course. Kyle Smith led the team with the best CHS score of the season-an 81. He even recorded a birdie and finished his High School golf career with an eagle on the final hole! Phoenix Hughes had one of the most miraculous par saves that Coach Keller has ever seen! Bear Casillas and Finton Nicholas also contributed scores to the team score on Monday. They finished ahead of rivals Davenport West and Burlington. A big thank you, congrats, and good luck as well to all the senior golfers-Kyle Smith, Will Browne, Phil Judge, Phoenix Hughes, and Big Tom Richards. Thank you for your leadership, hard work, and dedication to the golf team.

DC volleyball was determined Tuesday night against Clinton but fell short. Junior, Madi VanDerLeest led the team with 13 kills, Freshman Falyn Mussmann had 11 kills with 4 blocks Seniors Ellie Linehan tallied 9 kills, Helena Flores was unstoppable with 12 digs and Zoe McCullum 2 blocks Freshman setter Anne Linehan, had a whopping 29 assist! Next match at Bettendorf on Tuesday❗️

Congratulations to the 15 Blue Devils who attended the FCCLA Fall Rally in Cedar Rapids yesterday. Suah Oh brought home first place in the Child Development Knowledge Test. Jontrice Brown also placed first in the Interior Design Trend Brend contest. Aviahnna Jackson and Olivia Ragone placed third in the $15 Meal Challenge.

Seniors - A virtual essay writing workshop hosted by the University of Chicago will be held on Monday, October 21st, from 3:30-4:30 PM. If you need additional assistance/information with your essays, this is a great resource! Be sure to sign up using a link in your Class of 2025 Google Classroom.
