Here are your Daily Announcements:
Today is the last day to purchase your homecoming ticket. Stop by the Activities Office to purchase your Homecoming ticket. Tickets are $20. When purchasing your homecoming ticket, you will have to show Infinite Campus on your phone or chrome book. Have this up BEFORE you get up to the window. You will be asked to go to the end of the line if you don’t have it up first.

Last night your Lady Blue Devils Cross Country Varsity squad dominated the Cedar Rapids invitational, taking the win by over 19 points. Leading the charge were Joley Sullivan placing 3rd, Presley Moeller 4th, Rhemidy Brack in 3rd while Ellie Huebl and Sydney young closed the competition down 21st and 24th overall. The JV squad led by Jazelle Roberston in 10th had an amazing 3rd place team finish with multiple season best performances across the board! Way to go ladies!!!

The boys cross country team had an excellent showing last night at the Cedar Rapids Invite! The boys team finished in the top 3 in every division and were led by medalists Zack Ryan, Sam Crawford, Manny Leveridge, Cooper Leopard, Calvin Kenyon, Lucas Mitchell, and Braxton Helstrom! Great job, gentlemen!

Next Tuesday, September 15th, the whole school 9-12 will be taking the Civics test. By Iowa Law you must pass this test to graduate. Please remember the following for next Tuesday:
Bring a charged Chromebook, arrive on time to your ADVISORY CLASSROOM, Go to the bathroom before going to your testing center, and place your phones, ear buds, and smart watches in paper bags just like ISASP. Make sure you study using the following: DCSD Practice Test on Quiziz, DCSD Flashcards on Quiziz, and DCSD Study guide on Quiziz

Have you ever heard of Elementary Mentors? Are you interested in volunteering your time to work with little kids? Elementary Mentors might be for you! In Elementary Mentors, Central students volunteer one morning a week before school to build a relationship with a student at either Garfield or McKinley. They become role models to these students and mentor them all year long. You must be able to have your own transportation to and from Garfield/McKinley Elementary in order to participate in this program. If you are interested in becoming an Elementary Mentor, we will have an informational meeting on September 16th in Kahler auditorium during Advisory. Contact Ms. Ebener in room 501 if you are interested in attending!
